TEMOR POR SERIE DE SISMOS EN FLORENCIA

[b]ITALIA - Un fuerte sismo con numerosas réplicas en la histórica ciudad de Florencia obligó a las autoridades evacuar las escuelas, en tanto muchos ciudadanos prefirieron quedarse en las calles.

El movimiento telúrico es parte de un enjambre de terremotos que está afectando al valle del Chianti, y comenzó a las 14: 37, hora local del 18 de diciembre.

Por la noche, un sismo de 3,5 grados en la escala de Richter y IV y V en la escala de Mercali, a las 0:09 del día 19 despertó a parte de la población de Florencia, Arezzo y Siena, que se movilizó en sus casas asustadas, según declaraciones de vecinos, redes y televisión.

Hasta las 12:03 se han producido más de 30 movimientos sobre 2 grados. A las 9:36 de esta mañana (Hora UTC) , un sismo de 3,8 grados seguido de cinco réplicas y un violento movimiento de 4,1 grados, a las 10:36, mantiene conmocionadas a algunas personas, que prefiere quedarse en las calles.

El temor es el volver a los departamentos históricos que datan de la antigüedad.

"Me quedaré en la calle", dijo una residente de Florencia, vía telefónica.

El epicentro del terremoto es en la zona del Chianti, entre Siena, Florencia (a menos de 20 kilómetros) y Arezzo entre 7 y 9 kilómetros de profundidad. Terremotos de 6 a 7 grados en la región se registraron en 1453 y 1812, cerca de Firenze, y en los alrededores de las montañas, sobre 6 grados en 1542, 1600 y 1919.
